Child electrocuted in Delaware
DINGMANS FERRY — State police report that an 11-year-old girl was electrocuted on the evening of May 22, after she was said to have climbed a perimeter fence at a Met-Ed power station located off Doolan Road in Delaware Township.
Police said that the victim, whose name was withheld, voluntarily climbed over the fence and was electrocuted while inside the enclosure.
Dingman and Delaware township emergency medical personnel responded to the 8:23 p.m. call and the victim was transported to Lehigh Valley Hospital.
Met Ed employees assisted state police in their investigation.
