Pike woman charged in credit fraud

BLOOMING GROVE — Catherine Santos, 47, of Lackawaxen on May 23 was arraigned by Magistrate Alan Cooper on 30 counts of Access Device Fraud charges filed earlier that day by state police.

Police charge that Santos made numerous charges against the account of 77 year-old Duice Garriga, of Lackawaxen, who was described as a neighborhood friend in the Masthope Lake Community. Garriga discovered the charges last December and Santos was charged with seven felony and 23 misdemeanor counts after a five-month investigation.

Following her arraignment Santos, who had surrendered voluntarily, was released on unsecured bail, pending a preliminary hearing on the charges.
