MILFORD — Pike County District Attorney Ray Tonkin announced the following criminal sentences were issued by Pike County President Judge Joseph F. Kameen on May 31:

Justin Viscardo, 18, of Milford, was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,075 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crimes of Driving Under the Influence and Maximum Speed Limits. On Nov. 26, 2011, on state Route 739 in Delaware Township, Viscardo was stopped for speeding 65 mph in a posted 45 mph zone. Viscardo was found to be driving under the influence of marihuana.

Tamora Kovaleski, 37, of Greentown, was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 39 days to 23½ months, and ordered to pay a fine of $200 for the crime of Endangering the Welfare of Children. Between the summer of 2011 and December 2011, Kovaleski left her three children, between the ages of 10 and 14, home without adequate food, money, emergency information, transportation, or parental control while her whereabouts were unknown.

Leona Zozaya, 44, of Dingmans Ferry, was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 72 hours to six months, ordered to pay a fine of $1,000 and had her driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On Nov. 16, 2011, Zozaya was found to be driving under the influence on state Route 739 in Delaware Township. Her blood alcohol level was .227%.

Joshua Horning, 24, of Milford, was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 48 hours to six months, ordered to pay a fine of $500 and had his driver’s license suspended for 12 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On Nov. 6, 2011, on state Route 739 in Dingman Township, Horning was found to be driving under the influence. His blood alcohol level was .12%.

William McCord, 79, of Shohola, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $100 for the crime of Accidents Involving Death or Personal Injury. On Nov. 15, 2011, in Matamoras Borough, McCord struck a person with his vehicle and failed to remain at the scene to render aid.

Brandy Cooper, 31, of Baldwinsville, N.Y. was sentenced to the Pike County Correctional Facility for 90 days to five years, ordered to pay a fine of $1,500 and had her driver’s license suspended for 18 months for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On May 29, 2011, Cooper was stopped at a DUI checkpoint in Westfall Township and was found to be driving under the influence. Her blood alcohol level was .128%.

Slawomir Zaba, 44, of Greentown, was sentenced to six months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Driving Under the Influence. On Feb. 1, 2011, on Interstate Highway 84 in Palmyra Township, Zaba was found to be driving Under the Influence. His blood alcohol level was .082%.

Robert Eckes, 34, of Hawley, was sentenced to 12 months of probation and ordered to pay a fine of $300 for the crime of Possession with Intent to Use Drug Paraphernalia. On Nov. 26, 2011, Eckes was found in possession of plastic bags used to store a controlled substance in Dingman Township.

William White, 58, of Bushkill, was sentenced to a state correctional facility for 6 to 12 months and ordered to pay a fine of $500 for the crime of Possession of a Controlled Substance. On Nov. 9, 2011 in Lehman Township, White was found in possession of 12 Diazepam pill and one Clonazepam pill without a valid prescription.
