May 15 to June 15 is Tourette Syndrome Awareness Month, and Giulia was hard at work with her mom to educate the public at the DFL Yard-Sale. Material was donated by NPPODS & Friends and by TSA_USA. Tourette Syndrome is a neurological disorder characterized by repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics. The disorder is named for Dr. Georges Gilles de la Tourette, the pioneering French neurologist who in 1885 first described the condition in an 86-year-old French noblewoman. (Photo provided)
