DINGMANS FERRY — A fund has been set up to help the family of George Ryan Berkowitz, a Delaware Valley student who died on Sept. 2 at age 17. On the GoFundMe page dedicated to the fund ( is the following appeal:

"Dear Family and Friends,
"Today we are asking for your help and support during this difficult time in loving memory of George Ryan Berkowitz 'Berki,' a beloved son, grandson, nephew, cousin, friend, classmate and student. We are raising funding to assist the family with offsetting the funeral costs as there was no life insurance policy in place. The funeral will be held on Saturday, Sept. 6th. Please share with your family and friends."
