Plight of the homeless in Pike County is subject of meeting
MILFORD — Pike County Hands of Hope is reaching out to the community to raise awareness about the complex issues surrounding the homeless and near-homeless in Pike County.
Hands of Hope invites the community to a town hall informational meeting at 7 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, at the Delaware Valley High School (11-12) Cafeteria, at 239 Route 6 and 209, Matamoras.
The organization's hopeline — 570-296-HOPE (4673) — and outreach services provide support and encouragement for those facing the hardships of homelessness.
"Pike County Hands of Hope needs you," says a statement from the organization. "You can make a difference in the plight of the homelessness in Pike County."
Pike County Hands of Hope is a not-for-profit organization and a United Way member agency.
