Rodeo starts July 29 this summer at the Malibu Dude Ranch and runs each Saturday through the Labor Day weekend.

Rodeos begin with a patriotic ceremony on horseback, and then cowboys and cowgirls from across the U.S. compete in various timed events. Bull riding is the main event, but other categories create excitement, too, as these athletes use their skills to compete in steer wrestling, bareback or saddle bronc, tie-down roping, team roping, barrel racing and breakaway roping.

Tickets are available at the entrance to the arena. Children ages 4 and under are admitted free. Gates open at 5:30 p.m., and the rodeo begins at 7 p.m. rain or shine. Afterwards, there will be a party in the saloon where attendees can meet the competitors and dance to popular music.
