Are We Positive? Yes We Are!

Delaware Valley Elementary School hung up a banner in the cafeteria, where students from second through fifth grade were asked to write positive messages so that everyone could see and read them. It was quite a hit. Some of the messages included: “If people are sad, give them a smile,” “Always be a friend, be kind, be nice and be yourself,” “Never give up and try your hardest,” and “Shine your own way." This idea came from a district wide initiative originally created by Sandy Hook Elementary School called “Start with Hello” Week. (Photo by Peg Snure)
