'Purple party' and other October events planned in fight against domestic violence

It's time to "Paint the Night Purple" to campaign against domestic violence. Safe Haven of Pike County is hosting the party from 7 to 10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at the Phoenix, Route 209, Dingmans Ferry. Safe Haven is also sponsoring events in Milford: an open mic night starting 7 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Frisky Goat Coffeehouse, its annual candlelight vigil at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, in front of the Pike County Courthouse. And then there's the "Ladies' Night Out" fundraiser at 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 16, at the Catskill Mountains Resort in Barryville, N.Y.
