Vincent M. Walker of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., dies at age 75

incent M. Walker of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died on Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at home. He was 75.

Son of the late Vincent and Kathleen Walker, he was born Nov. 27, 1941, in Astoria, N.Y.

He was a retired Police Officer and Fire Arms Instructor for the New York Police Department for 22 years, worked for Newton Memorial Hospital, Newton, N.J., for 10 years, and was the operations manager for the Dingmans Ferry Bridge for 10 years.

He was a member of the St. Vincent DePaul Church, Milford, Pa., and the Knights of Columbus, and was an Honorary Member of the Pike County Sheriff's Department.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Ida; daughters, Kim Walker and Renee Walker, both of Dingmans Ferry; sisters, Rita Ann Gray of Missoula, Mont., and Kathy Torregrossa of Kings Park, N.Y.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Vincent DePaul Church, Milford, on Oct. 12, with the Rev. John Boyle officiating. Burial took place in Delaware Cemetery, Dingmans Ferry.

Arrangements were by Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford.
