Charles Edward 'Chick' McCollum of Milford, Pa., dies at age 83

Charles Edward “Chick” McCollum of Milford, Pa., died on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, at Moses Taylor Hospital, Scranton, Pa. He was 83.

Son of the late Ralph and Laura Mae (Clinton) McCollum, he was born on Jan. 20, 1934, in Port Jervis, N.Y.

He was a carpenter for Levi Cole, Milford; owned and operated Chick’s Catering, Milford; was a gourmet chef at various establishments in Milford; member of Good Shepherd and St. Johns the Evangelist Church, Milford; member of the Mount Laurel VFW Post #8612, Milford; and a U.S. Army Korean War veteran.

Survivors include his sons, Roger Klaire McCollum and Clark Edward McCollum; and grand-daughters, Kendall and Levi Amaelia McCollum.

Friends may call at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, on Monday, Oct. 23, from 4 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m.

Cremation will take place at MacLennan Hall Crematorium, Milford. Burial in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, Pa., will be private at the convenience of the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
