Lions Club needs help with holiday lighting

To the Editor:

For the last thirty-plus years the Milford Lions Club has put lights in the trees on Broad and Harford Streets for the holiday season. The installation and repair of the lights in preparation for the lighting in December takes a significant amount of work. Due to our declining active membership, we must again ask for assistance from the public with this very popular community project.

We will begin working on the lights at 8 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, in the vicinity of the Community House, weather permitting. If you are interested in assisting with this project, you can contact Jeff Phillips at 570-228-6480 or Bill Harkness at 570-296-9341 to volunteer, or you can just show up on Nov. 4. We will be working on Saturday and Sunday mornings until the project is ready to light in December.

We look forward to your assistance.

Bill Harkness, Secretary

Milford Lions Club

126 Pleasant Lane
