, N.Y. — With breathtaking voices rooted in Ireland, the UK and the U.S., EVA performs a seamless mix of traditional and contemporary original folk music. The fold duo's powerful vocal harmonies are bedded on the textured landscape of guitar, piano, and percussion.

EVA will give a performance at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Tusten Theatre, 210 Bridge St., Narrowsburg. The show is presented by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance.

Featuring Liz Simmons and Nicole Zuraitis, EVA has toured with legendary singer/songwriters Livingston Taylor (brother to James Taylor) and Tom Chapin (three-time Grammy winner and brother to Harry Chapin).

Local audiences may remember Simmons from her recent appearances at the Tusten Theatre as part of folk bands Long Time Courting (2015) and Low Lily (2016). She grew up listening to her mother sing traditional songs from Ireland, Scotland, England and America, as well as the New Orleans brass music her father plays. Dirty Linen Magazine called her “a honey voiced singer...with winsome ease and genuine feeling.”

Zuraitis is a Brooklyn-based vocalist, songwriter, and pianist. She has been praised by the Hartford Courant as having "an emotive voice with seductive warmth," and Jazz Inside Magazine says her voice is "hard to ignore (with) remarkable range....you can't help but stop and take notice." Recent accolades include the 2015 Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition in which she was one of the top five finalists, the 2015 Johnny Mercer and People's Choice Award in the National American Traditions Competition, the 2014 Herb Alpert ASCAP Young Jazz Composers Award and the 2013 Songdoor International Songwriting Award.

Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and may be purchased by calling 845-252-7272 or visiting delawarevalleyartsalliance.org.
