— Delaware Valley will hold its Turkey Trot 5K starting at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, on the high school's scenic cross country course.

The Trot promotes running in the area while helping local pantries put food on the table this upcoming holiday season. All runners and walkers are asked to bring a canned food item to the event. A portion of the proceeds will in addition be donated to local food pantries.

Prizes will be given out to age division winners, and the top male and female will receive a frozen turkey. A kids' free fun run will be held on the track following the 5K.

Preregister by submitting a registration form available at http://dvturkeytrot.wixsite.com/dvtt. The $25 cost includes a food ticket. Free t-shirts and goodie bags will be distributed as supplies last.

Race day registration will open at 8:45 a.m.

The race includes automatic timing and indoor facilities for registration, warm up, lunch, and awards.
