Elmira F. 'Micki' Lonsky of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., dies at age 80

Elmira F. “Micki” Lonsky of Dingmans Ferry, Pa., died on Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017, at St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover, N.J. She was 80.

Daughter of the late Howard L. and Franziska (Leineweber) Foster, she was born on Jan. 22, 1937, in Paterson, N.J. She married John A. Lonsky on Jan. 16, 1955.

She was a mother, artist, and business woman.

Micki was an active member of the St. Vincent de Paul Parish stitchers and crafters, founder of the Warwick Valley Gardeners, member of the Milford Garden Club, member of the Lynchburg, Va., Art League and President of Elmira Lonsky Affordable Homes.

She leaves behind her husband, John A. Lonsky; daughter, Carol Ann Regan; sons, John F. Lonsky and his wife, Eva Sardinsky, Michael T. Lonsky and his wife, Patricia Capalbo, and Andrew J. Lonsky and his, wife, Annette Lauritano; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and sister, Ellanore Foster.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Joan Marie Lonsky in 1997; sister, Elsa May Fisher; and brother, Theordore Foster.

Friends may call at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 101 St. Vincent Dr., Milford, Pa., at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at the St. Vincent de Paul Church, with the Rev. John Boyle officiating. Repast will follow services in the church hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the John M. Lonsky Memorial Scholarship Fund, 231 Clerihew Ave, Pompton Lakes, NJ 07442.

Arrangements are by Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 W. Harford St., Milford.
