— Several art galleries and specialty shops of Milford are celebrating the year's final Milford After Dark this Saturday, Dec. 9, with affordable art from some of the area's favorite artists and crafters.
Highlights include the Milford Craft Show store at 120 East Harford St., which will offer 100 handcrafted and original art items by local Pike, Orange and Sussex County artists, all priced at $50 or less for holiday gift giving. The show features metal sculpture, chainsaw carvings, hand dyed clothing and knit accessories, pottery, photography and original watercolor paintings. Complimentary refreshments will be served from 5 to 8 p.m. during a mix-and-mingle with the featured artists and makers.
On Milford's Broad Street is The Artisan Exchange, featuring American-made art and crafts; The ARTery Gallery, a cooperative representing a dozen local artists and jewelers; and Golden Fish Gallery, celebrating its 20th year in Milford. They will participate in Milford After Dark with extended holiday shopping hours and art events.
Milford After Dark is a free monthly event held on the second Saturday of each month, April through December. It is promoted by Milford Presents, the tristate area's premier nonprofit organization focused on sustaining community through cultural events.
