— An afternoon of art and artmaking, food and beverage, and building community — that’s the vision for the “Life Is Not A Picnic, Make Art” event being coordinated by Alexis Siroc of the Barryville Area Arts Association.
“This indoor/outdoor event with a picnic theme will be fun for the whole family,” she says. “We're celebrating summer and our country's birthday.”
“Spin Art” and “Poetry Graffiti are just two of the activities planned. A display of prints of classic works with a picnic theme will help set the mood. There will be complimentary refreshments and lots of surprises.
It’s all happening from 4 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 7, at the Artists’ Market Community Center, 114 Richardson Avenue, Shohola.
The event is made possible with the help of a grant from the Barbara J. Buchanon Fund, administered by the Greater Pike Community Foundation.
