— “People, Planet, Politics,” an exhibition by 14 artists working in painting, sculpture, photography, and digital mixed media, is coming to the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance gallery at 37 Main St., Narrowsburg, N.Y.

The opening reception, free and open to the public, will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 10. The exhibit is the first of the DVAA season, and will be on view through March 31. An artists' talk and panel discussion on the theme will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, at the gallery.

“People, planet, and politics all have a significant impact on each other,” says DVAA gallery director Rocky Pinciotti, who curated the show. “Many of the works in the exhibit overlap these three categories. Some of the works are directly political with photographs of political rallies. Other works address nature’s impact on us, as well as the struggle to survive in urban and polluted environments. And there are images of people who are struggling to survive as a result of both natural and political fury.”

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The activities of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance are made possible in part by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
