, N.Y. — A free artist talk and panel discussion is centered around the gallery exhibition, "People, Planet, Politics," at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, in Krause Recital Hall, 37 Main St., Narrowsburg, N.Y.

“As artists, we can shine a light on important issues so that people pay attention,” said Rocky Pinciotti, Delaware Valley Arts Alliance gallery director, who also curated the exhibit.

“People, Planet, Politics” features the work of artists Ellen Alt, Mark Aubrey, Ronald Gonzalez, Edith Gould, Thierry Gourjon, Laurie A. Guzda, Jonathan Hyman, Theodora Johnson, Peter Kopher, Richard Kreznar, William Landau, Glenn Lieberman, Patricio Robayo, and Michael Trovato, many of whom will speak about their work on March 10.

After the talk, a panel of local experts will join us in a multifaceted conversation about the issues and themes raised by the exhibit. Panelists include Luis Alvarez, Sullivan County Legislative Chair; Barbara Arrindell, Director of Damascus Citizens for Sustainability; Tracy Carluccio, Deputy Director of Delaware Riverkeeper Network; Wes Gillingham, Associate Director of Catskill Mountainkeeper; and Ari Mir-Pontier, Executive Director of the Sullivan County Human Rights Commission.

The talk is part of the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance's Winter Salon Series. It is free for audiences thanks to the generous support of Larry and Shain Fishman. Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. A reception will follow in the Alliance Gallery.

The final Salon Series event of the winter will be a screening of the documentary “Bombshell: The Hedy Lamarr Story” on Saturday, March 24 at 2 p.m.
