Fifth-graders from Delaware Valley Elementary School recently graduated from the D.A.R.E. program, which educates kids about the dangers of drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes.

The graduation was written and performed by the fifth-graders with Officer Paul Cavallaro at the helm. Owen Carso did an outstanding job as Master of Ceremonies. Ryan Edwards led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance. Irene McDermott and Charleigh Cook moved everyone with their rendition of the National Anthem.

The students performed their own skits and read papers they had written regarding what they had learned in D.A.R.E. They received their graduation certificates and then sang “Brave" by Sara Bareilles, accompanied by Ms. Emily Kondracki on guitar.
