Learn how to 'play' a singing bowl
Tibetan singing bowls are used for relaxing, reducing stress, and meditating
MILFORD — Hadley's Earth Crystals at the ARTery Gallery will be presenting an informal workshop, "Singing Bowl Basics," at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 18.
Learn how to "play" a singing bowl, how it resonates with your body, and how sound therapy can help healing.
Jim and Jan Hadley, owners of Hadley's, have been collecting crystals, mineral specimens and "just plain" rocks for years. They started by picking up rocks while hiking, then went on field trip digs with rock and mineral clubs, and progressed to collecting crystals for their own collection.
In 2011 they formed Hadley's Earth Crystals, a business that provides crystals, mineral specimens, holistic, and metaphysical tools to everyone. Covering both the geological as well as the metaphysical side of crystals, they love educating as well as learning from their customers. They joined the ARTery in 2017, establishing a small retail shop among the fine art.
Tibetan singing bowls have been an integral part of their lives for many years. They are used for relaxing, reducing stress, and meditating. The workshop is a way to introduce and share with others what the bowls have to offer.
The ARTery Gallery is located at 110 Broad St. in Milford. No sign-up is required. Donations are appreciated.
