GAIT Therapeutic Riding Center is kicking off its newest program, Let Equines Empower People, with an open house from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13. This event is open to the public and will include live demonstrations with the horse, drum circle, and guided meditation. The new program is designed to promote the health and well-being of cancer survivors and their families. Any donation to help GAIT achieve its goal of raising $10,000 to sponsor 10 participants for 10 weeks would be much appreciated. The event will be held at GAIT, located at 314 Foster Hill Road in Milford (right before Malibu Dude Ranch). For more information call 570-409-1140.
