— Delaware Valley High School defeated Scranton High School in varsity football on Nov. 2. The final score was 26-0.

The District 2 regional semifinal took place at DV in Westfall Township.

The rain came down hard through most of the contest. And the Delaware Valley Warriors came down hard on the Scranton Knights. The heavy rain made the ball slick and difficult to hold, so most of the action took place on the ground, with running backs handling the ball.

DV running back Josh Balcarcel rushed for 119 yards and one touchdown. Teammates Jason Henderson and John Ruzzano also rushed for one touchdown apiece.

Scranton never managed to get any traction and got worn down by DV's strong running game and relentless defense.
