— People stood in line to enter the Columns Museum for the very popular "An Old-Fashioned Milford Christmas." Three times as many people attended this year's event than last year's.

The party on Dec. 15 offered a visit with Santa, holiday movies, and a crafts workshop that turned all the children into artists and pipe cleaner engineers.

Young and old alike shared with Santa their wishes, hopes, and dreams.

Then there was food, and plenty of it. Children created their own hot cocoa, adding mini marshmallows and one mint for extra deliciousness. Snacks included chips of all kinds, popcorn, cookies, and bars. Homemade pasta included baked ziti smothered in cheese, with meatballs also on offer.

Children's comic classics played continuously. "Frosty the Snowman" was requested last year, and played after screenings of "Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer" and "How the Grinch Stole Christmas."

Milford Tours sponsored the free event.
