MILFORD — The iconic image of John Lennon and Andy Warhol behind the bar in Bar Louis, at the Hotel Fauchere, was taken by Christopher Makos, who was one of Warhol's closest friends. Makos is coming to Bar Louis for the unveiling of 10 more of his images that will hang there forevermore. They are of pop icons from the 1970s and 1980s, including several from the "kissing series." Everyone's invited to the unveiling and reception from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 13, at Bar Louis, located 401 Broad St., Milford. Refreshments will be served. Bar Louis owner Sean Strub notes that the landmark Warhol exhibition at the Whitney Museum in New York has sparked a revived global interest in all things Warhol, who is a native Pennsylvanian. The images include: Mick Jagger at the Factory, 1977 Liza Minnelli and John Lennon at the Factory, 1978 Salvador Dali Kissing Andy, 1978 Andy kissing Philip Johnson, 1979 Debbie Harry Laughing at the Factory, 1980 Andy with Elizabeth Taylor, New York City, 1981 Andy with Bill Murray, New York City, 1981 Andy being Crowned, Paris, 1982 Jean Michel Basquiat, New York City, 1983 Jack Nicholson, Aspen, Colorado, 1982 "It is going to be an uber-1980s night," said Strub, who is also the Milford mayor. Makos has created a playlist for the event, and is publisher will be there with copies of his books for sale. His publisher is Marta Hallett, who also lives in Milford, Strub said.
