Memorial Day in Milford

    Milford. Rich Diaz, Commander of the Milford American Legion Post 139, said veterans will assemble at Fifth and Ann Streets at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 27, for their annual Memorial Day ceremonies.
    The group will step off for the parade beginning at 10:30 a.m. The ceremony at the monument will begin at 11 a.m.
    Diaz said there will be a variety of speakers.
    The keynote speaker is Kelly Gaughan, who is also running for judge in Pike County.
    Everyone is invited to Milford Beach at 11:30 a.m. to float a wreath down the Delaware River as part of a Naval observance.
    If it rains, the ceremony will be held at Post 139, located at 103 County Road 2001 in Milford.
    After the Naval ceremony, everyone will return to the post for hot dogs will all the fixings.
