Greater Pike and Dime Bank join to provide local pre-k scholarships
MILFORD — The Greater Pike Foundation and The Dime Bank are joining forces for a second year in a row to offer pre-k scholarships.
The awards, based on financial need, will provide partial tuition to one or more families in the Greater Pike area with a preschool age child to attend a pre-K program at either the Center for Developmental Disabilities (CDD) or Green Trees Early Learning Center in the fall.
Scholarship applications will be made available later this spring and posted on greaterpike.org and through the two qualified schools. Families interested in applying for a pre-k scholarship may contact Gail Shuttleworth, Scholarship Chair at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
"We are grateful to The Dime Bank for their continued generosity and investment in early childhood education allowing us to provide needed support to families with young children,” said Shuttleworth.
The Dime’s support was made possible by the Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program offered by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, acting through the Department of Community and Economic Development.
The Greater Pike Community Foundation (GPCF) was created to enable generous individuals, families and local businesses to maximize their charitable support through organized, targeted, long-term community philanthropy. The Foundation provides a permanent and personal way to give back to the region we love and have worked so hard to nurture and maintain.
