— A new building will be going up in Blooming Grove to house the Pike County administrative offices and maintenance garage of the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

Doug Yacuboski is the acting engineering maintenance supervisor in Pike County, taking over after the mid-January retirement of the former supervisor, Ken Thiele.

Yacuboski said the new building will be constructed on State Route 739, at the intersection of Pike County Boulevard. The department plans to use the new gambrel-style building to store winter materials used to service state area roads during winter storms.
