More than one town hall meeting?

To the Editor:

The Congressman Cartwright town hall meeting I attended was nothing like what was described by the Delaware Valley Democratic Club. I saw a cross section of concerned citizens participating in an open government forum.

When people express their views, challenge norms, and ask tough questions about controversial political issues, this is a good thing. To characteristic these people as Moonies or gun loving nationalists is polarizing and divisive. Our Democratic Club seems to be lacking in respect for opposing opinions. Respectful open dialogue should be the foundation of our political conversations.
