'River Circus' puppet show coming to the Tusten Theater

Arm-of-the-Sea Theater will bring their magical puppet family-friendly storytelling to the Tusten Theatre stage this Saturday.
“The Rejuvenary River Circus” tells an allegorical tale about the life of a river and how the sea and the mountain became friends. Along his journeys, Malakai encounters a host of creatures, including a lyrical sea turtle, a fast-talking crow, a pair of industrious beavers, filter-feeding oysters, and schools of migrating fish. Each creature offers insights into their particular role in a watershed’s ecosystem services.
The play features over three dozen mask and puppet characters, great live music, and a gorgeous hand-printed bio-morphic set design.
The show runs 50 minutes and will feature a meet and greet with the actors and puppets after the performance.
The show is ideally suited for family audiences. Production of the show is made possible with support from the Hudson River Improvement Fund.
The show is sponsored by the Delaware Valley Arts Alliance and supported in part by public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
