John Palmadessa has the insight into our school district only a recent graduate can have

To the Editor:

In the 13 years since Dick Snyder and I reopened the Hotel Fauchere, the hotel has employed several hundred different individuals, including many students and recent graduates of Delaware Valley High School. One who was an outstanding member of our team, advancing quickly from an entry-level position to managerial responsibilities, is John Palmadessa, who is now running for the Delaware Valley School Board.

If John brings to the school board only a fraction of the energy, commitment, and talent he brought to his position with the Hotel Fauchere, he will be an outstanding addition. He does his research and is well-informed before expressing an opinion. He is collegial and respectful of those with whom he might disagree. Most of all, he is passionate about our school district and has the insight only a recent graduate can have concerning where the district excels and where more attention might be needed.

Having young people engaged in public service, particularly on school boards that can so profoundly affect their lives, is important and a valuable resource for our community. I am voting for John Palmadessa and encourage others to do the same. We have a good school board now; the addition of John can only make it even better.
