Join Saturday's Pocono FoxTrot in Milford and help raise money for Parkinson's research.

Organizer Marcia Guberman, who herself was diagnosed with Parkinson's, said the FoxTrot is now celebrating its fifth anniversary. The one-mile run and walk is hosted by the nonprofit Tri-State Parkinson's Project.

"Thus far we have donated $157,000 to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research," she said. "With this year's efforts we hope to top a total of $200,000."

Check-in is 9 a.m. on Saturday, June 15, at Ann Street Park, where there will also be a resource fair and party.

The event will be held rain or shine.

To register online or make a donation, visit poconofoxtrot5k.org, or send checks payable to Pocono FoxTrot 5K, Box 2776, Gold Key Lakes, Milford, PA 18337. Free T-shirts will be available. Create a team of five or more to get a free hat.

This year's FoxTrot offers a timed race for serious-minded runners, along with the usual Fun Run activities.

At the after-party there will be free food, music, and a gift basket raffle. Learn about local resources for Parkinson's patients and caregivers.

The Tri-State Parkinson’s Project is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those living with Parkinson’s and their care partners. For more information about local resources, support groups, and other Parkinson's related events, visit tri-stateparkinsonsproject.org.
