    Barbara Mae (Koch) Donovan of Shohola, Pa., passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021. She was 62.

    Barbara was born on Jan. 22, 1959, in Port Jervis, N.Y., to parents Shirley and Arthur Koch.

    She was the fourth of six children and is survived by her siblings: Arthur (Kathy) Koch, Ray (Patty) Koch, Suzanne (James) Tieskotter, Donna (Ed) Stritmater and Doris (Rich) Shaffer. Barbara was married for 40 years to the love of her life, John Joseph Donovan III, who describes her as his soulmate and best friend. She is also survived by her son, Justin (Carrie) Goble of Virginia; and grandchildren, Ella, Dylon, Ariana, Addison, and Emmerson.

    Barbara enjoyed gardening, cooking, plays, music concerts, rescuing and raising animals, and most importantly spending time with family and friends.

    Over the years, she worked at Sparkomatic in Milford, Pa., the Best Western Inn in Matamoras, Pa., and The Barryville Coffee Shop in Barryville, N.Y., before starting her own successful house cleaning business. Barbara was a frequent volunteer who dedicated many hours to the Lackawaxen Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary in Lackawaxen and St. Ann’s Church in Shohola, of which she was a devoted member.

    Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 9, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Shohola.

    In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Lackawaxen Township Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Route 590, Lackawaxen, PA 18435; or St. Ann’s Church, 125 Richardson Avenue, Shohola PA 18458.
