Evelyn L. Hamilton of Barryville, N.Y., passed away Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Place, Port Jervis, N.Y. She was 89.
Daughter of Raymond and Ida Schwarz Hallock, she was born on Oct. 8, 1929, in Pond Eddy, N.Y.
Evelyn was a faithful member and former Sunday school teacher of the Hillside Gospel Chapel in Barryville.
She married Stanley Hamilton who pre-deceased her.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters, Sharon Hagemann of Greeley, Pa., and Rebecca Larter of Charlotte, N.C.; son, Daniel Hamilton of Great Falls, Montana; sister Marjorie Hallock of Matamoras, Pa.; her beloved granddaughter, Natasha Wallace and her husband, Dere,k of Matamoras; her beloved great-grandsons, Evan, Jake; and Drew Wallace; and several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by her sister Christina J. Quick and her brothers, Sherwood, Donald, and Douglas Hallock.
Graveside services were held Sept. 24 at Glen Spey Cemetery, Glen Spey, N.Y. The Rev. Leonard Gilpin officiated.
