    James (Jim) McKnight of Hernando, Fla., formerly of Milford, died suddenly on April 24, 2015, at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Fla. He was 60.

    Son of Robert and Elinor McKnight, he was born in Jersey City, N.J., on Jan. 26, 1955.

    He worked as a plumber for several builders in the Milford area. He had a special love for animals, the outdoors and being surrounded by nature. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, and playing golf.

    Survivors include his wife, Vicki McKnight, and former wife, Carol McKnight, of Milford; his daughter, Jessica McKnight; son, Brian McKnight; stepchildren, Natalie and Stephanie LaSpina; brother and sister-in-law, Robert (Mac) and Lisa McKnight, and their children; sister and brother-in-law Patricia and Joseph Kropiewnicki and their children; and other family, coworkers, and friends.

    A memorial celebration of his life will be held at the family’s convenience. Memorial contributions may be made to The American Legion in Milford.
