Joan S. Steel of Mill Rift, Pa., passed away on Sunday, Jan. 17, 2021, at the Highlands Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Laporte, Pa. She was 74.
Joan was born in Port Jervis, N.Y, on Oct. 16, 1946, a daughter of Shirley Hope Jamieson Shadler and the late Frank Hugh Shadler. .She attended Delaware Valley High School. She married Malcolm “Mac” Steel, who predeceased her on Jan. 5, 2013.
She worked at Kolmar Laboratories in Port Jervis, N.Y.
Surviving are her mother, Shirley Shadler of Mill Rift; brother, John Shadler of Mill Rift; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers, Robert Shadler and Ronald Shadler.
A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Homer Funeral Home, Dushore, Pa.
