John James Arculeo

John James Arculeo of Milford, Pa., passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2020, at Saint Francis Hospital, Roslyn, N.Y. He was 96.

Son of the late Dominick and Anna (Zimmerman) Arculeo he was born Nov. 24, 1923, in Queens, N.Y.

John was a retired health inspector for the Department of Health, New York, N.Y., and a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy serving during World War II and the Korean War, retiring in 1961 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Dingman Township Volunteer Fire Department, Dingman Township, Pa.

He was married to Olive Elizabeth (Hughes) Arculeo for 72 years.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Betty (Hughes) Arculeo; John and Kathy Arculeo of Ronkonkoma, N.Y.; William and Terrie Arculeo of Milford; Carol Ann Insardi of East Meadow, N.Y.; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home in Milford on Nov. 16. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Church, Milford, on Nov. 17 with the Rev. John B. Boyle officiating. Burial followed Mass at the Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township.
