    Marian Edith Nistad, 90, of Lackawaxen Township, PA passed away Sept. 26, 2018 at home. Marian was originally from Staten Island, N.Y. where she spent her first 53 years. While in Staten Island, she owned and operated Ye Colonial Luncheonette.
    She moved to Pennsylvania in 1981 with her husband and youngest son. Marian was a member of St. John Neumann Church, Lords Valley, Pa. and was a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart Church, Greeley, Pa. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family.
    The daughter of the late John C. and Ruth (Schlobm) Ford, she was born May 8, 1928 in Staten Island. She was married to the late John S. Nistad on Nov. 12, 1948 in Elton, Md.
    Marian leaves behind her five children: John Nistad and his wife Melinda, Alison Nistad, James Nistad, Erik Nistad and his wife Anne, Kristian Nistad and his wife Cindy; two sisters Katherine (Linda) Ford, Barbara Patten; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by six sisters, three brothers and her grandson Erik Kevin Nistad.
    Visitation was held at Stroyan Funeral Home, 405 West Harford St., Milford, PA on Oct. 1, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Greeley, Pa. Oct. 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Thomas Major officiating.
