Virginia Anne St. Jean

Virginia Anne St. Jean (“Ginny”) of Milford, Pa., passed away Sunday, Feb. 7, 2021, at Newton Medical Center, Newton, N.J. She was 80.

Daughter of the late William and Barbara (Rommelsbacher) Hough, she was born April 27, 1940, in Rockville Center, N.Y. She was married to the late Arnold E. St. Jean.

After working as a receptionist, scheduler, and secretary for Newton Medical Center, she retired at the age of 72. Virginia was a parishioner of St. Patrick’s Church, Milford, and would often find comfort sitting in church during her daily walks.

Virginia was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend to many (which often included wayward four-legged friends). Although a resident of Milford for more than 28 years, Virginia was originally from Long Island, N.Y., and would return often to visit her children and grandchildren celebrating birthdays and holidays.

Virginia leaves behind her son, Michael St. Jean; daughter, Marlene Brigantino; grandsons, Bryan, James, Nicholas, and Jason; and nieces and nephews, Glen, Nora, Gail, Carol, and David.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick’s Church, 111 East High St., Milford, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, with the Rev. Joseph Manarchuk officiating. Burial will take place at Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y., at a later date. Arrangements are by Stroyan Funeral Home, Milford.
