Emily Grimm receives scholarship from Pennsylvania Association of Family & Consumer Sciences

Shohola. Emily Grimm of Shohola, a student at Messiah University, has been selected as the recipient of the Undergraduate Scholarship.

The honor and monetary award are given by the Pennsylvania Association of Family & Consumer Sciences (PAFCS) to an undergraduate majoring in Family & Consumer Sciences at a Pennsylvania school.

Emily is the daughter of Christi and Richard Grimm isa student at Messiah University. She received the award during the PAFCS Scholarships and Awards Recognition Ceremony on April 26.

“The PAFCS Board of Directors is honored to recognize students who are committed to the science and art of living and working well in our complex world,” said Mercy Ross, President of PAFCS.

PAFCSPAFCS (an affiliate of AAFCS) is a nonprofit organization whose members are professionals employed in education, business, industry, government, social agencies, childcare and human services, consumer affairs, culinary arts, dietetics, family development, home management, interior design, technology, vocational agriculture, and international affairs.

Family and consumer sciences, or FCS, is the comprehensive body of skills, research, and knowledge that helps people make informed decisions about their well-being, relationships, and resources to achieve optimal quality of life.
