Green Trees Early Learning Center gets grants

Milford. The Green Trees Early Learning Center has received a $5,000 grant that will be used toward operational expenses and support teachers who have been caring for children throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.

    Green Trees Early Learning Center, Inc. is a recipient of the Richard L. Snyder Grant through The Greater Pike Community Foundation.

    This grant totals $5,000 and will allow the center to utilize funding towards operational expenses and support the dedicated teachers whom have been caring for the children in our community throughout the pandemic, Covid-19.

    For the past 11 weeks, Green Trees had remained operational to essential families and provided children whose age ranged from infant through elementary school age, with a safe and educational environment. While we provided these services to essential families such as health care workers, law enforcement personnel, grocery store employees, and more. Green Trees has also created a digital platform for families not able to return to in person care.

    This platform included interactive circle time through Zoom, educational articles and resources for guardians, activities and continuation of our state recognized curriculum.We are extremely thankful for The Pike County Community Foundation’s support and investment in the children in our community.
