Shohola. Port Jervis woman arrested after hit-and-run in Shohola

Jennifer Meli, 50, of Port Jervis, N.Y., was arrested for a hit-and-run crash that occurred at 8:05 p.m. on June 21 in Shohola.
Meli was driving south on Maple Drive when the 2008 Ford Escape she was driving left the roadway and struck a mailbox, rock wall, and several trees, according to a report by the Pennsylvania State Police at Blooming Grove. She fled the scene following the crash, police said.
She was identified by a witness and has been charged with numerous code violations. She was assisted at the scene by Ray's Towing.
She was charged with Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffice.
Trooper Lewis Casey is the investigating officer.
