Tributes to Carole King and James Taylor coming to the Newton Theatre

NEWTON, N.J. — Tributes featuring the music of two great American songwriters are coming to The Newton Theatre.
"Troubadours: The Music of Carole King and James Taylor" will be performed at 8 p.m. on Friday, April 5, at The Newton Theatre, 234 Spring St., Newton, N.J.
Home Again covers the entire repertoire of the multi-award winning singer/songwriter Carole King. Included on the list are songs King wrote and recorded on her own and songs she wrote that were recorded by other musicians. She made her mark with "Tapestry" in 1971 but was already a well-established songwriter for over a decade starting with her first hit in 1960, “Will You Love Me Tomorrow,” recorded by the Shirelles.
Home Again includes professional musicians who have been working together for over 30 years and are dedicated to preserving King’s legacy. The band includes Deb De Lucca (King), piano and lead vocals; Keith Droz, drums and voice; Bobby Sproviero, bass and voice; Rich Weiner, acoustic and electric guitar; John McDonough, keyboards and voice; and Stantawn Kendrick, sax and flute.
Home Again pays tribute to the singer/songwriter while also adding their musicianship, interpreting her songs with love and respect.
Sam Hyman’s Almost JT show is a tribute to James Taylor. Hyman's guitar style, soulful voice, original songs, and interpretations of timeless classics have entertained audiences the world over. His original music has been featured in television and theatrical productions. He also has a physical resemblance to Taylor.
