Pocono Arts Council announces grant winners
MILFORD — The Pocono Arts Council had announced the organizations to receive the 2017 PA Partners in the Arts Grants.
The program is a partnership between local arts organizations and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts, and administered in northeastern Pennsylvania by the Pocono Arts Council. Grants are available to non-profit organizations and individual artists conducting arts programming in the counties of Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike and Wayne. Nearly $2 million has been granted in the five-county region since 1997.
This year 45 Project Stream applications received grants totaling $46,867, with 22 more grants to be awarded in early 2018.
The awards will be presented at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 30, in the ARTSPACE Gallery at the Pocono Arts Council, 18 North 7th St., Stroudsburg. Project Stream and Program Stream Awards will also be recognized in Scranton as part of the Lackawanna County Arts and Culture’s recognition of grant awards, with the date to be announced.
