A shared grief for Orlando
Flags were at half-staff all over Milford this week to honor the 49 people gunned down early Sunday morning in a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida. In accordance with President Obama’s proclamation, Gov. Tom Wolf on Sunday ordered all United States and Pennsylvania flags at public buildings and grounds throughout the state lowered immediately to half-staff, where they were to remain until sunset on Thursday, June 16. On Sunday, the community mourned at a vigil at the Upper Delaware GLBT Center in Milford, holding aloft rainbow flags and bringing a tribute of roses, "one flower for each soul lost."
