DVMS students focus on giving this holiday season
MILFORD — A school food drive is a good way to emphasize the idea of community service to students. Delaware Valley Middle School students recently conducted a food drive, donating more than 2,000 items to the Good Shepherd Ecumenical Food Pantry in Milford.
The food pantry serves more than 125 area families — people who live in our neighborhoods, go to our schools, and are members of our faith communities.
Students were involved from the beginning of the food drive, helping to collect, sort, and pack the trucks for delivery to the food pantry.
"A sincere thank you to the DVMS families for their support," says the school. "It is with hope that the act of giving warms the hearts of those who donated as well as those who will be the recipients."
