Troopers endorse Judge David Wecht

— Superior Court Judge David Wecht announced today that his campaign for the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania had been endorsed by the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association, which cited Judge Wecht’s record of public service in its unanimous endorsement letter by Joseph Kovel, president of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association:

“As President of the Pennsylvania State Troopers Association I am privileged to inform you that our members have unanimously endorsed your candidacy for Justice of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court. Your experience as Judge of Allegheny County Court of Common Pleas and as Judge of the Pennsylvania Superior Court are examples of your dedication to public service.

“Your respect for Pennsylvania law enforcement officers coupled with your passion and love for law and justice demonstrates your desire to make Pennsylvania a safe place to work and raise a family."

Judge Wecht has also received endorsements from the Pennsylvania State Fraternal Order of Police, the Pennsylvania AFL-CIO, the Pennsylvania Building and Construction Trades Council, the Pennsylvania State Education Association, the Association of Pennsylvania State College and University Faculties, and the Pennsylvania Medical Political Action Committee, among others.

Judge Wecht lives in Allegheny County with his wife, Valerie, and their children, Nathan, Jacob, Alex, and Emma.

“My campaign for Supreme Court, as with my time on the bench, has always been about fairness and justice for all," Wecht said. "My vision is for a transparent and principled Supreme Court that recognizes, at its core, the values of honest, hard-working families.."
