Residents from Twin Cedars Senior Living recently enjoyed tea and a traditional lunch at Chang Mao Chinese Restaurant in Milford. Their server, Ming, educated the seniors about the Chinese New Year, and that 2017 is the Year of the Chicken. She showed them video of the traditional celebration in China and noted that everyone dresses in red because it is a sign of good fortune and joy. The seniors go on weekly outings in the community as part of the activities program at Twin Cedars. The seniors had healthy appetites — there were no leftovers from this trip!
