Delaware Valley High School's Model UN team competed April 26 in Bloomsburg University’s High School Model UN Conference. Eight school districts representing 97 nations competed in three separate conferences: the General Assembly, the Security Council, and the Euro-Arab Council. DV represented Japan in the General Assembly and received the “Best Delegation” award for that category out of 38 other nations.

The Model UN program aims to create a better understanding of global issues and to prepare students to meet the particular challenges of today’s world. Model UN stimulates awareness of global issues and provides students at all levels of education with the research, analytical and problem-solving skills necessary to active and full citizenship.
