MILFORD — The viewing areas at Raymondskill Falls will undergo construction improvements starting Monday, July 24.
“Raymondskill is the tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania and one of our most popular visitor attractions," said John J. Donahue, superintendent of the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area. "This project will allow park visitors to easily and safely access some of the most scenic views in the park."
The work is part of a two-year maintenance project to improve trail conditions and visitor access at the 165-foot waterfall.
Construction of the lower platforms will begin first. That area will be closed for approximately three weeks — depending on weather conditions — while construction takes place.
Following the completion of the lower platform, work will begin on the upper platform. That area will be closed for approximately three weeks.
The parking area for the falls is located on Raymondskill Road in Milford.
